I bought a Troller walk around unit and was wondering how to hook up the
red, black green & white wires. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi.
Is the handheld a TRH 200 or the Transcab 2000?
These were usually used with Troller's stationary "Autopulse" transistorized throttles to supply the AC. The AC output of the stationary was connected to the Red and Black wires coming from the handheld. The Green and White wires connect to the track. According to the few papers I have left, any AC supply will work as long as it doesn't exceed 16v and the supply amperage is equal to or greater than the load of the locos you want to operate at one time.
Troller's units were pretty good for the era. They helped simulate the flywheel action of slow starts and stops - momentum - using transistorized circuitry and the application of a pulsed DC signal to the track. If the momentum was switched on and the throttle was advanced to a setting that was known to produce the correct train speed, the circuitry would ramp the track voltage up to that setting and vice versa when slowing the train. As with todays flywheel equiped locos, some advance planning was needed to prevent some embarassing collisions. If the momentum was switched off, changes in the speed settings had an immediate effect.
My information sheets were printed in 1978.
Good luck.
