New Layout - River Rat Junction RR Update
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, April 15, 2005 11:18 PM
HO 8 X12 ( L -shape ) The 4 sections bolted together like I hoped they would. I left some jigle room to line up the top of the foam so its flat all the way across. I also installed the Facia and made a pull out drawer for the DCC etc.

I also made and installed 2 switch panels. One for the North Yard and one for the South Yard. They are close at hand and can easily reach either one while operating the trains.

The backdrop was finished and installed today. (Urban scenes) I designed it to be a drop in background so it can also be easily moved. I tried to design the whole layout so that it can easily be disassembled and moved if I have too.

Tomorrow, I am going to install some trac lighting. I hope to have some pictures this weekend set up in its new home.

If your wondering how come I have so much time to work on it, I am retired!! LOL been there done it! Now enjoying the good life in Florida!

I also want to say that its been alot more fun this time around with this Forum and catching up on alot of good information. Its been a pleasure and I look forward to reading the posts.

Yeah, isn't retirement great?! You've earned the pleasure of leisure.

Your project sounds like a fun bit of modelling. Would be pleased to see some pix, as Karl says.
