TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: ALL Atlas switches will power both your siding and main rails. You will have to isolate the siding, or any other tracks you want to turn it on or off.
A 'Power Routing' turnout (not Atlas) will theorically send power to which way it's thrown. Peco and Shinohara make this type of switch.

you really want to put in blocks if you can...but i think i know what you are talking about..just connect the siding to the main and you will have power for both..the main will feed power to the siding from both ends...if you cut gaps in the two ends of the siding and put in a toggle switch, then you can control power to the siding...send me an e-mail and i'll send you an attachment of some electrical drawings I drew on microsoft word to show you how diversified cab control, common rail wiring, and a few other tricks are...Chuck

What is it that you want to do? Power just the siding? If you are using one rail for a common (one rail carries half of the circuit to all blocks) you will need to insulate the opposite rail just past the turnout on the siding. You will only need one wire to the insulated rail from electrical switch.

Which Atlas switch are you refering to? All will work. The only difference is the off position.
