Thanks for the replys so far, I am only wanting to make sure its what I want before I drop close to $200 on one locomotive. as long as the upper light functions as a mars on the short hood end, then I am happy. I will have to post on atlas's forum as well. Thanks Mike

I dunno, I have a CNJ single headlight one. It runs and sound GREAT - even better since I cranked in some momentum, now it really winds up as it gets the train moving.
Honestly if you reject it because of having a mars light effect, you're doing yourself a disservice. What alternative is there? One of those old Athearn ones with a "whole body" light in the front only? Actually, if it comes programmed as a Mars light, it probably can be reset to be a solid light. Check the Full QSI DCC manual at the QSI web site. The included manual with the loco doesn't tell you everything (although Atlas' has more info than most of the BLI ones).

Do the duel headlight Trainmasters from Atlas have a Mars light in the upper headlight position, or is it just a steady headlight? I am looking at a pair of the Wabash units, but not if the headlights are incorrect, it has the duel lights, but is the upper one a Mars light? Thanks Mike
