On the underside of the cars are tabs. I recall about six per car. It takes alittle extra fingers to get them all to release at the same time. I put toothpicks in the space to hold them open. Then tug on the roof to start it loose. The roof and the window plastic are all one piece. I do not recall anything special with the vista dome cars. Sometimes they are just tight. Maybe also try pushing up on the tabs with a small screwdriver to get it started.

I am adding interiors to my passenger cars from IHC. I can get the roof and 'glass' out of the rest of the cars. I was wondering how to separate the top of this car from the bottom. Any advice would be appreciated.
