You might be able to use the Peco switches with positive and negative supply voltages. The always connected lead to the switch machine would be ground. One lead to the SPDT would be V+ and the other V-.

Alternatives to Kato switch control
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 31, 2002 3:56 PM
I'm using Kato N-scale track for my hidden stages and I have a fair number of remote track switches in the layout. The Kato "blue" switch controls that are designed to work with their switches are too big and not designed for integration into traditional control panel designs. These switches are unique in that they are DPDT internally and provide momentary action as required for the remote switches but they remain in position after they are thrown so that you can tell the position of the switch.

Peco makes a similar mini-switch that unfortunately is only SPDT ... this doesn't quite do the trick as the Kato track switches require you to reverse the terminals to control the polarity of the internal relay of the switch.

Unless I can find an alternative, I'll simply have to use the old DPDT static toggle switch with a momentary pushbutton in-line with the power source to the toggle.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
