I am using remote switches because my kids will not be able reach the switches on the 4x8 layout.I have looked over the plans again and there are two switches up front that they should reach with no problem.I dont want them leaning over the layout to reach switches. thanks Dan.

Dan;

Do you need remote control switches? If not go manual. Atlas's remote snap switches are the least expensive out there.

[#ditto] Listen to Don... he is a wise man[8D].

I am in the process of replacing all of my accessible Atlas turnouts with Peco.
After I purchased four of the Peco's, I fell in love with them. I like the over center
spring design. I have also made my own over center springs for some of the
Atlas turnouts using piano wire (thanks Nigel [;)]) Good luck, Dave

They are made to take the Atlas switch machine - there should be two mounting holes along the side.
Enjoy
