"MUCHO LOCO LOCO"
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 25, 2005 1:51 AM
[:o)]Hey my fellow MRXR fans, I have a real strange problem, I unpacked one of my loco's that I haven't ran since last summer, The instant I put it on the track the whole system went wacky. My Zepher had walking o's across the screen (for you Digitrax people) I took it off and everthing went fine. I put it back on and the wacky walking o's are back, What can I do to solve this problem. The loco is a UP DASH-8 made by Atlas and has a Lenz decoder installed [:(]ANY HELP WILL DO thanks

Something is shorted out in the loco. You'll have to open it up and look for wire that came loose, or got pinched against a metal part and cut into. Or maybe the decoder itself is bad, but if the loco ran fine prior to being put away last time, it's not too likely.

Had one of those. Like Randy said, it was shorted. Made every train ont the track come to life. One switcher pushed 4 cars into the turntable pit.
