Tatans, I'll give you three guesses.
Give up? Okay, as in any other grand Canadian scheme, private industry will come up with the idea (cuz our leaders don't got none), but with tongue in cheek. The unions will lobby hard to make it a reality so that there are jobs, and industry will hld out its hand for the inevitable grants in order to get it built. Then, about 2009, it will rust away in the quiet wind-swept north.
Can yoy hear the wind? Aaahhhh.
(Sorry, I get worked up over these brain farts.)

The Canadian Government has applied for a feasability study to connect Alaska and B.C. by rail. It will start outside Fairbanks and head south to Fort Nelson or Dease lake, approx. 1800 km. and cost $4 billion, now just who is going tp pay for it?
