Some More New Photos of DV&W
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 21, 2005 4:35 PM
Well, since I did a bunch of detail work recently and have the layout 99.9% complete, I thought I would take a ton of photos. Especially since the layout will likely be scrapped in the not too distant future.[:(]

I was planning on demolition this spring, but the time involved for saving $$ for the Kato Unitrack is taking longer than anticipated. So the current DV&W will survive a bit longer. (Which is OK, I am busy revising the track plan anyhow.)

If anyone is interested, the photos I added are in the 2 Deere Valley & Western Railroad albums at my Webshots site. Just click on the link in my signature.

Nice photo--like your website, too. Too bad it has to be demolished, I sincerely hope you can save a lot of it. My dad was into N scale, after he died, I inherited his stuff and I set it up around the Christmas tree every year. I got some of the Kato Unitrack, and it's really SUPER stuff--just about trouble free. I was almost tempted to get the HO scale Kato when I started building the Yuba River Sub, but unfortunately, they don't offer wide enough radii for my big steamers. But I think you'll be very pleased on the operating characteristics when you start using the Kato on your new line. Best of luck--and I REALLY like your work!
