Mine runs fine backwords except that it gets hung up on turnouts. I have powered the frogs on all of my turnouts but I'm still having problems.

Yes it is a saddle tank engine. My power pack is a MRC Tech 4 with momentum and brake. I'm havings some problems with my track and as I work with that I may have less problems with the engine.

Just curious if this is the Spectrum Saddle Tank 0-6-0 that is "DCC ready"? If so, my experience is that it runs very well as is and after I added a Digitrax decoder with it's switching mode, it ran even better. Maybe there's just something wrong with your loco and it could be simply repaired instead of requiring a regear?

Does your power pack have pulse power? This old fashioned way used to slow down engines. To make your request clearer, it would help if you listed the wheel arrangement as 0-6-0, which is clearer to most modelers. 060 sounds and looks like an engine number rather than a wheel arrangement.

I was wondering if anyone out there has regeared a Spectrum 0-6-0 tank engine. Since this is a switching engine I would like to make it run smoother at low speeds. Any ideas?
