Help finding HO CSX Loco
Posted by turbine682 on Thursday, March 17, 2005 7:48 AM
Hey all,

Customer is looking for (any) HO Geep with a specific paint scheme. The paint scheme is the YN2; however, the CSX logo on the gray hood is YELLOW with the letters outlined in blue.

Not sure if Geeps were ever painted this way. Did find photo of AC60CW # 5002 with this paint scheme.

Customer works for CSX in Atlantis Not really concerned with loco performance (this is display item) as much as detail. Perfect if I could find Geneis model... but I don't think Athearn makes 1 to meet these specs. No luck at Atlas or Kato sites.

Any help appreciated. TIA -- Ed

I don't believe CSX has any geeps in that scheme so most likely there aren't any in the HO world. The only thing I can suggest is to check e-bay in the event that someone who may have painted something like that on their own would have it up for auction. It's a long shot but what the heck.

Good luck in your search.

Buy a cheap Geep. Maybe a bachmann or trainline. Get you some yellow, blue and grey paint and a $3 set of decals. Problem solved!

Thanks all.

Yeah, I kinda figured there weren't any GEEPS in this scheme. Agree that paint / decals are the solution.

FYI... Nice CSX photos at www.bullsheet.com

Thanks Ken.

Actually caught this site (very briefly) during this AM's research. Appreciate the link!
