Anyone have the Kato 38-2?

Mine is on the the way (of course, in C&NW Colors. heheheh)

Wanted to get your impressions of it.

I am also going to hold out with a bit of my cash and put in a Tsunami (once they get out) and utilize the sound cavity in the fuel tank :)

I would like to know as well. I want to get an undecorated unit and pait it for SP. I would need to alter the cab for the "L" shaped engineers window and change the nose to accomodate the headlights in the nose. The SP units used the 3 bracke cylinders in the trucks but I'm not sure if they used the smaller or larger fuel tank. The Kato unit only comes undecorated with the smaller fuel tank and 2 brake cylinder trucks.

Any thoughts on modeling this loco in SP would be appreciated.
