My question is how / why does a twelve year old post get brought back to being a current topic ?

dknelsonInteresting, I was not aware that a poster's "forum name" became "Anonymous" on their old posts or threads if they were no longer members.
Interesting, I was not aware that a poster's "forum name" became "Anonymous" on their old posts or threads if they were no longer members. That makes it harder to start a "whatever happened to ______" thread if you need to find a particular rememberd old thread to recall their forum name.
2001, those were the days. -- perhaps only Erik Bergstrom should be allowed to edit or lock this thread!

Try Radio Shack. Any diode rated for 50 volts or better and 3 amps or more will work. Radio Shack also sells "full wave bridges" which are four diodes in a single package. If your Troller is old enough to have a copper oxide rectifier (large item with a lot if big fins) , I would replace the whole thing with a full wave bridge from Radio Shack.

Well I'll be a admitting to being an SOB,,,I was reading Wigman's post and payed no attention,to the date on the other's....that thread is as old as I am retired...

' Anonymous' means the member that made that post isn't here anymore and the account has been removed. Since the thread was started twelve years ago it's a fair bet they no longer need an answer to their question.

SOO Line Fan,
Jim,
I'm going to check with my''Owl'' friend about the screen name thingy,,I hear he is supposed to know,,''Who's.Who''....
ANONYMOUS,
If you have a Radio Shack, near you, take a trip there and see if they have, cat.# 276-1653..that is a package of 25 assorted Rectifier Diodes,,one of those should fit, they should cost around two bucks..That power pack is rated at 12va, so it is not all that powerful,,about a 11/2 amp,,without seeing the components, its hard for me to give you any,for sure answer,,but I have a feeling, there is more wrong with it then a bad Diode.....for instance,is it a half wave Bridge circuit, full wave Bridge,,is it filtered??? Too many things to find out,,without seeing it..
Cheer,
Lots of anonymous posters in this thread.
I can't answer your question, but I have a Troller Twin Momentum 5 and it is the best DC transformer I have ever had - still use it today. The momentum feature is unmatched, the power output is awesome, I have operated large layouts with it - amazing machine...
