I am thinking about a few model train DVD's and was wonder if there was one you seemed to always go back to... It seems to me that alot are showing massive layouts that are just I wish I had the room type stuff. LMK Joseph

I've always liked the Allen Keller tapes. Not so much for the fact that they show off fabulous layouts, but because you see the builders discussing their favorite techniques for things. That is neat to me.

In the GMR 2005, there is one layout that is no bigger than a bedroom (Blair Koostra's - I can't remember the name of the pike itself...). Its "greatness" lies in the effects he was able to create within that limited space. That's one thing that is truly inspring to "limited-budget" guys like me.

Among the Keller videos, my favorite is the one about Don Cassler's M&K Junction (http://www.allenkeller.com/GMR05.htm ) - great looking overall, yet the individual models were not exact replications, this inspired me by helping me believe that maybe someday, even my layout might qualify[:D]!

Those sure do seem like great videos but I think to say they're over priced is a bit of an understatement. [tdn]
