Could someone tell me approximately when the "Santa FE" war bonnet paint scheme started to be repainted into the "BNSF" warbonnet scheme?
Thanks!!!

I have been a Santa Fe/BNSF stockholder since 1992, and according to the pictures on the front of my yearly reports, the NEW heritage scheme that has the Santa Fe cross on the nose first appeared in 1997. The 1996 report still had the "Cigar Band" logo.

I believe Terry was asking when BNSF was repainting "blue" BNSF letters on the older Santa Fe RR's blue and yellow warbonnet engines.
I would also like to know. It will make a difference if I get to leave the "BNSF" off the cabs or not. Thanks.
