Photo Posting Problem
Posted by rexhea on Monday, February 28, 2005 12:56 PM
I have posted several pictures in the past from Railimages without problem, but yesterday and today I haven't been able to.

After copying image location in Mozilla or copying in Explorer, I paste between the "insert image" brackets. The link address looks good and I even did a copy/paste in the browser to make sure it would go to the Railimage site.

When previewing the post, all I get is an icon for the picture. The properties of the icon shows an address that is incomplete and has %20%20 where the picture file name is suppose to be.

Any ideas what's going on???

Thanks, REX

my only suggestion is maybe you accidentally clicked the wrong link for the image and got the one with gallery in it instead of album.

REx,

I have had the same problem with that Mozilla Feature. It is cutting off the last part of the tag even though it doesn't appear to be. Go to the image in your browser from railimages and paste the url from there, it should work.

Well, let see if this photo will get through. Tried your idea Trainnut, but no go.

Nope! The address is correct in the box and it is placed between the brackets. For some reason it's wacking my name in half in the address when posted. This is using Mozilla browser. I think I 'll try Explorer again.
Any more ideas.

REX

Nope again!

I just noticed that the link to my album at the bottom of this page is also wacked with *** in the place of the rest ot my name. Anyone know what that means? Is there something in Norton's Internet Security that would cause this?

Thanks CJ. At least I know it's not my computer.
I sent them an email and will let everyone know what's going on when I get a reply.

I've quoted your message above, removing the [img] tags at both ends so the URL will be displayed. Note the asterisks in the URL, and that it refers to the image as a thumb. Perhaps you are trying to copy the thumbnail image and not the full image?

Also photos that can be enlarged have to be larger photos to start with, maybe that's why the photos are so small. If an original photo is 800 pixels wide, it would be reduced to display on this forum, but could be clicked on to be enlarged.
