I'll help get things back on track (pun intended) with the Sunday tradition.


Trees....I need more trees. Newer, better trees are constantly being crafted and I'm slowly phasing the "not-so-good" looking ones out.


Hopefully by next weekend I will paint landscaping on that blue sky backdrop.

Passenger operations: A doodlebug ticks over in the platform next to the yard office, while an Erie-Built with commuter bilevels waits for the 'bug's crew to come back from the yard office and move it off to the refuelling track!



Need to finish in this shot: Backscene painting, "concrete" loading pad/platform in foreground, also paving between rails on this section and thin strip of concrete on the other side. Holding off further work until the room is reorganised though, when the layout will be in a semi-permanent location.

Railroading_Brit, the gas-electric peaked my curosity. Is it a kit-bashed Walthers, scratch-built or made by a model manufacturer in the U.K.? I built the Walthers G.E. in HO and bought an Aristo Craft in 'G' scale which needed a lot of cosmetic alterations. Frisco (U.S. R.R.) ran an awesome looking gas electric out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It sported a high arch roof, loaded with detail (exhaust stacks, huge blower fan, etc.). The air cooling intake vents were located in the center of the facing bulkhead (cab). Matt, I can't recall having seen a "Doodlebug" with front windscreens (windsheilds) across the entire front bulkhead (cab). Was this a common feature for some R.R. shops? Have a happy.

scratch b rules, clean and vivid details. What type of building does the model follow? It doesn't appear to be a dispatcher's office, no telegraphy. Great detail even down to the trains.com poster (hee, hee) which reflects a good Yankee sense of humor. The pic. of your pet w/cap reminds me of some crusty old engineers back in the 1940's. Have a happy.

Hey thanks guys Ted its a yard tower .I saw a picture of a yard tower that Ben King made in the HO trackside strutures by Model Railroader . then i just made a little different. its 100% scratch built .the stairs took some time .

I wish I could tell you, however, I have no idea! My approach to digital photography is to take a whole bunch of pictures and hope a few turnout. I use a two megapixel cannon elf. No flash, and I press a button that I believe is good for close up, maybe??? Also, today I put a GE reveal lightbulb in my shop light. Maybe someone that knows more about this can help me out.

Well, I got the bridge painted and installed which means for the first time in two weeks I was able to complete a lap on the outside main line. Used the airbru***o paint the final coat. Used enough paint to paint a wall.




The next picture is here because it is my first kitbash. I took a cheap bridge, cut it up with a Dremmel, made some cross struts with a piece of styrene plastice and created symetry where there was none.



With Hogwarts out of the picture we needed some functioning trains. So I got some Kadee #5 and outfitted some old time cars.



And last but not least, I killed the reason this whole MRR stuff got started for me:

What a great night shot! It looks like all the scene lighting is really coming from the streetlight. Excellent up close shot, too. [tup]
