The only problems I had besides the mud was I hurt my knee some how. I couldn't walk on it a few days later. My doc said it was from the climbing around, etc.

We just purchased a Canon EOS Digital Rebel with a standard and telephoto lenses. There were some other folks around train watching as well. No Uncle Pete to be seen.

Yes there are snakes out there.... the California Rattler and the Arizona Diamond back on the other side of the pass.... not to mention alot of other nasty little creatures as well.... can't forget those mosquito's either.... west nile is rampant right now.

just make sure when visiting the Cajon Pass that when you walk around you wear some sturdy Leather Boots... if you get bit take the boot off as soon as you get into your car and never put it back on... In fact BURN IT so no one else gets ahold of it.

Very nice Pictures.... What part of So Cal do you live?.... I'm in Fontana (too much trafic right now to do anything because it's race weekend).

I want to get out there some day and go railfanning as well as to the west colton UP yard.... I llive on the other side of the 10 from it.
