Hey Amigo,

I've already left you several messages, so I'm not going to lecture you.

Just to the point.

You are O.K and welcome on the forum. Use it to benefit your modeling. Enjoy the fellowship with other modelers.

Just stop playing mind games. Your new post, "If You Hate CSXguy click on this. Dude, that's a self-pitying game. You have to realize that many adults have experienced good and bad times in life, so clicking on that won't bug them one bit and in reality the couldn't even hate you since THEY DON'T KNOW YOU! But some, will have no problem trying to evoke a negative, sad, or angry response from a young person. Sounds cruel but that's the world we live in!

When I started in a transit company as "the young hot head", mechanics would deliberately try to get me angry, so they could get a laugh out of it. It's only when I learned to let "flaming" go in one ear and out the other that I finally fit in and got along with everyone.

If you wi***o leave the forum, that is your choice. But we would be better as a whole if you stayed on and participated. Talented guys like Joe Fugate, Bill Matthewson, Dave9999, BigBoy4005, and Bentnose Willie have far too much good, helpful info to ignore.

So stick around, keep cool and learn to let junk slide down the drain. By the same token just before you hit the "Submit" button, read over carefully what you wrote. Imagine you are another person reading it for the first time. How would you respond?

Stay Cool, Amigo! [:D][;)]

Hey csxguy listen to Antonio we have a few individuals here who tend to get to wrapped up in what they read and respond out of turn. When I was 13 I tended to take some heat as well but like Antonio I learned to filter the chaff from the wheat. As far as I'm concerned you arewelcome here and your opinions and questions do have merrit.Buck up and keep your head high. Hey CSXguy! In almost all forums there are trolls, those people who seem to come to the forum just to make trouble for others and pick a fight. They go to the Apple computer forums and post stuff like, "only a &^%*$%# would use a ^$*#$ Mac. Then they go to the Dell forum and say stuff like "Anybody who uses a Dell is an 2&&(^!*. The best thing to do is ignore them! When I first started teaching many, many years ago there was a sign in one of the principle's office that said, "When arguing with an idiot, make sure he is not similarly occupied!". Very good advise. I for one have enjoyed your posts (well most of them) and I am glad you are a member of the forum.

Hope to see many more good questions from you!

Enjoy your trains. [:D]

Hey, CSXguy, [#welcome] to the forum. I agree with the others. Let what others say slide on by. I took some heat from some on a topic I posted. It was to let people know, if they had stuff they didn't need, I would like to have it. And yes, I said some things I shouldn't have. I realized it, and made an apology, then, moved on. So, don't let the bullies in here effect you. Just remember "on every tree, you will always find a few bad apples".

Here is some advice, try saying everything you want to say in one reply, instead of several. If you want to add, or correct something, either edit your reply, or post a new reply. If you want or need help on how to use this forum, just ask, you'll find someone who will be glad to help you, including myself. So, again, I say welcome, and will hope you'll stay.

Hi Jordan,

I was raised to deal with things and people honestly and have instilled that mantra in my daughters; both of whom are now in college and known as stand-up folks among their respective circle of friends; because the measure of your personal integrity is proved through your deeds, words and interactions.

I have no problem with you aside from the confusion and anger you have stirred up in the assembled community of this information rich forum. That said, it seems you have declared opposing views of yourself; stating that you are a 13 year old middle schooler but posting in your "official spot" topic that you railfan from your workplace.

Like my late Uncle Harry told me when I was in fact 13 myself "There's two reasons to always tell the truth. first of all it's the right thing to do and secondly you don't really have to remember what you've said to anyone." Talespinners spend more time keeping their stories straight than they do making their point.

Keep with the hobby, you seem to have a passion for it. I'd also hope you'll keep with the forum but use it as a tool, not as a plaything.

Stick around, PLEASE! I enjoy your forums and your polls, and don't let some of the guys get to you, okay? It's not like we're actually face to face carrying on a verbal conversation, and some of us (myself included) tend to get a little braver with confrontation when we're doing it on a keyboard. So just let it roll off (I do) and keep plugging away. I've learned a lot from these forums, and hopefully I've helped some others too, and that's why we're here. Keep the faith, Tiger---

Hi, 4664Challenger.

I hear ya, but don't think of most of the guys here as "hot shots". You'll find that the guys with the most info have a down to earth attitude. Read Jfugate's and Bill Matthewson's posts.

You have to remember we were also 13 and 15 at one time. We do know what it's like. [;)][8D] You will acquire knowledge and experience just like we did. Working on your models, layouts, asking questions, reading info, sharing info. It's no big secret.

If you stay in the hobby, you'll accumulate a wealth of knowledge and not even notice it that much. I've been in this since 1977 and am still always learning something new. No one here will ever reach the stage where they know everything.

Remember you're going to be 20-25-30-40-50 years old eventually! Learn as much as you can, treat people right, and never get an arrogant attitude! You'll do well!

Hey CSXguy, stay around. I sympathize, I'm 17 and in High School ...... There can be no place more abusive than that sometimes. You gotta just stick with friends and ignore those who are trying to get to you. I must say I definitely prefer keyboard chat to a face to face confrontation, especially in my school! Keep cool and don't let 'em get to you!

I'm almost 15. Pretty close to your age. I have learned to just be careful what i say and dont say anything that could be offnesive and the others on the forum will treat you great. There is way too much great information on this forum to quit posting just because a few people feel they have to put others down to make themselves feel good. There are other forums out there but I choose this one. The people are great (mostly), and like mentioned above we have some big names in model railroading frequenting this forum. I have enjoyed reading your posts and helping you wherever I can so stick around. Were happy to have you!

I'm 14. Don't think you're a posting maniac, trust me, when I was new here, I was worse. Just remember, have fun!
