CMR turntable suggestions
Posted by jcopilot on Monday, February 21, 2005 9:48 PM
I'm about to start assembling a CMR 120' HO turntable and I wonder if anyone out there has any suggestions, hints, tips on how best to build it.
Has anyone built it without the flange on top of the pit wall? I think it would look better without it, but isn't that how the pit is 'mounted'?
When you stack the layers of the pit wall, is it difficult to keep them in perfect round?
Did you cement each layer as you stacked it, or did you stack all the layers and then flood the seams with cement?

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.
