UP doesn't have ANY SD70MAC's. The one that was involved in the Metrolink wreck was an SD70M.

UP does have some SD70Mac's but very few.... the Locomotive that was hit by the Metrolink in the Los Angeles area was a MAC.... they use them for maint. type work.

Yup, UP has over 1000 SD70MS, but no SD70MAC, SD75Ms, or SD70s. I here they are purchasing SD70ACes, though.

Yeah, they have over a thousand 70M's (in all three phases), but no other 70 Series units.

I found a great site for pictures its http://www.railpictures.net If you type in Union Pacific and look for SD70 it shows a few but not good enough to paint by. Also my SD70 MAC dosent look like those. There is a step up on the right side looking from the front. that looks like it could be the inverter cabinet in the picture Mine is marked MAC on the box but dos'nt have the step. Picture possibly SD70M. I figure once a few diehard UP fans see this post Ill know all I need to about this> Joe A.

I've been looking for such too from either Kato or Atlas...my feeling is that UP simply doesn't own any SD70's nor SD80's to be modelled.Could it be?

Trying my hand at painting a SD70 in Union Pacific colors with the Building America Decal set. I don't have any SD70's in That paint and i'm looking for some pictures to try and get it right. The loco is a Kato SD70MAC. Any Union Pacific fans that can help I would appreaciate it. Joe A.[8D]
