I don't think the best and the cheapest can be the same thing in the long run.
I live 100 miles northwest of Toronto, and the best train store, in my opinion, is George's Trains in Toronto. So if I can't get there, I order from them online, at www.georgestrains.com. They have a pretty good selection, have specials posted on their site, and will order in what you want if they don't have it....regards/Mike

It depends. I have found that different hobby shops are better at different things. One shop that is often over-looked is DLA in Ventura CA. They are specialists in DCC and carry a lot of HO stuff at good prices. Their web-site is www.dla.com.

You will receive several replies which will include
www.standardhobby.com and www.trainworld.com
Both advertise in MR and so far no complaints that
I have seen.

What's the best hobby shop online? - the cheapest preferably, lol.
There isn't much choice in Canada.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :)
