NE Florida Live Steamer?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, February 14, 2005 10:45 AM
Anybody know what is with the NE Florida Live Steamers? All the URL's I have found are dead, and no one answers from any of the email address' that are given.
One site shows that they are supposed to be having a meet the 19th and 20th in Bostrick, Fla.
I've been to Bostrick and looked around and asked questions there for almost a whole day and couldn't even find anyone that knew what I was talking about.

According to the link on www.trainmountain.org site, the NE Florida Live Steamers are located 4 miles north of Bostwick between Jacksonville & Palatka. Does this help you?

Nobody in Bostwick, that I could find, knew anything about it. I need to find the exact location, i.e. , map to the place.

Charles; Try looking up the Live Steam Magazine web site. There should be a contact listed in there. You could also try and call the magizine and ask them for information.

I'm in live steam here in Texas. I have a track on my place and a steam loco in 4" scale, a diesel in 1.5" scale. drop me a line sometime.

I've looked on a bunch of sites for contacts. I've sent a number of emails asking for info, any have never gotten any response.
As I stated before, all the URL's to them are dead. Most of the email contact address' bounce back as no good.
Paul,
I'm not into live steam...yet! I've been interested in it for years but havn't found anyone local that is in to it, too. That's why I've been looking for the NE Fla. Live Steamers. They're supposed to be within 15 to 20 mles of where I live.
