well, USA, specifically the Northern Sierra Nevada mountains of California. However, since I've traveled extensively in Europe, if I weren't modeling California, I'd be modeling Austria and Switzerland, and instead of Articulated steam, I'd be modeling all those neat electric Crocodiles. In fact, I have some european equipment, and occasionally, I'll just turn the Sierras into the Alps and have some fun with my Crocodile. Cool locomotive, sort of an 'honorary Articulated'.

USA, it's what I know. Though if there were a hobby shop around here with British prototypes I'd be tempted to do a small layout..

This was a tough one because I like the U.S. as I am more familiar with the routes and equipment as well as the touraine, but I also love the Canadian routes and equipment, especially the Rockies.
Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Learn from the mistakes of others, trust me........you can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself, I tried !! USA or to me more specific, Illinois. I live here and want to model a period in history that means something to my wife's family. I grew up in the UK and am planning on station to be modelled on a small rural British station. It will look out of place, but I am looking forward to the chalenge.
