Heavy snow forecast!!!

Does anybody produce a C.P. Rail Single track snow plow other than OMI which, while it is very well detailed, is a little too pricey . Is there a plastic kit made of one of these ?? I don't mind a bit of kit bashing to get it right so long as I have the basics.. CPPedler

I kitbashed a Walthers Russell plow into a double track plow - which is what I think you mean. Standard wedge plows throw snow on both sides. A double track plow only throws it to one side, so it can be used without fouling the adjacent track. My article on making a double track CN plow was in a past issue of Model Railroading (not MR).
magazine.

If you do mean single track plow, well I also had another article in the same magazine (different issue) on shortening the Walthers Russell plow to make CP and CN plows.

Here's my CP plow from the article:

If you click on the photo you will see a larger version.

Let it snow! (Which is what it is doing here right now!) [:(]

The scene was set on a diorama I made for photography, and the snow is cooking flour. Cheap and easy to clean up afterwards with the vacuum. I don't have a layout, I do my modeling on two pairs of modules.

The article was in the November 1996 Model Railroading. If you cannot find the issue, drop me a line. You can contact me through my website in the link below my messages.

Good luck!
