Hello Whitman,

There should be 2 pairs of rails that are the longest. One pair per side on the locomotive's cab doors.

There should be 2 pairs of rails that are "medium" length. These on the engine access doors on the sides of the body. One pair per side.

There should be 2 pairs of "short rails". They mount on the rear side section of the locomotive. You should see a small ladder on the rear sides. The short handrails go directly above the ladders.

Finally, the tiniest handrails mount next to the bottom light on the nose.

You can go to www.Broadway-Limited's website, click on products and look at the E6 illustrations.

You can also go to www.railfanpictures.com and on the blank "Keyword" box type in E5. There are a couple of pictures of the Burlington E5, which has an identical body to the E6 however there are no hand rails on the nose.

Let us know if this works or if we can be of further help!

Cheers and enjoy your beautiful E6![:)][:D][8D][swg][tup]

Help with BLI E6
Posted by whitman500 on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 2:41 PM
I recently purchased a BLI E6. The model comes with 8 or 9 press-on metal handrails. However the kit did not include any documentation on where they should go in the model. I assume it was simply left out of the box. I haven't gotten a response from BLI support and was wondering whether anyone could either post the assembly diagram and/or briefly explain where the handrails go. Thanks.
