Bonus!

It All Goes Sunday Evening!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to everyone who took a look and perhaps made a bid on my recently ended auctions!
Everything that did not sell is being offered in 2 separate auctions that end Sunday evening. One of which includes 63+ Railroad magazines dating back to 1951, the other includes all the manuals including HO/N and other scale trains.

Same Links applies...

I stand corrected - I just checked eBay's help pages and found the following:

"eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet newsgroups) to advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is inappropriate or violates the Usenet board policy. If Usenet abuse is reported to eBay, we may among other remedies remove the listing, issue a warning, or suspend the user's eBay account."

They refer to such posts as being against a newsgroup's policy. I don't know what the policy of this forum is, which is run by a private firm (Kalmbach).

So there may or may not be a problem posting here.

I don't think eBay has a problem posting links to auctions on other boards. The problem they have is when you post a message and tell people to bid a certain amount - out and out shilling. Just saying "hey, take a look at my auction" isn't against their rules.

Bob,

Thanks for your advice!

For me, this is a one time thing. I simply wanted to offer something that may be useful to a collector or enthusiast of model railroading. If a complaint is made, I guess I will have to deal with that but I hope it doesn't come down to it. I apologize again for my post and any animosity it may have caused.

As I understand eBay is against posting listings on forums such as this, and that they may suspend your privildges if a complaint is made. I also follow newsgroups and people are always pointing out the eBay regulations. Post at your own peril! I personally don't mind, but there's a chance that others offering the thousands of items for model trains might copy your efforts.

Your post does seem to be opportunistic, it being your first one.

Hi Folks!

I felt some here might have an interest
in what I have to offer on eBay. I hope it's not out of line to post Ebay auction listings here.
I have Nearly 200 model railroad type magazines grouped in manageable lots
plus several manuals, plans, diagrams, catalogs etc; dating back to 1951. I
start every auction at under 2 bucks and combine postage. Of course NO reserve. Auctions end on Wednesday 2/9/05!

The Tiny URL is a web site to create a smaller link from a long one.

or follow ebay seller search for "matho1"

Feel free to take a look! Thanks!
