The Con-Cor/Rivarossi/Atlas switcher has been imported in several variatons since about
1969 - They are all JUNK. The best running N scale switcher is the Life-Like one. The first
couple runs were the SW7/SW9/SW1200(just like the HO one). The currrent new production run
is the SW8/SW600/SW800(it has a single stack).
Previous to the Life-Like offering, the old Mintrix FM H12-44 was about as good as it gets in
N scale for a switcher. It is a good running engine, but the flanges are are not 'Code 55'
friendly!

If I recall correctly, you're looking for one in N scale, right? Here are the leads that I posted in the Coffee Shop after you asked the question over there:
I could be wrong, but I don’t recall seeing a SW9 in N. Now Life-Like makes an SW8, if that would do. A bit less power and only one stack, but about the same time frame and usage. Here’s a link to the Brooklyn Locomotive Works website that shows them:

I have found an N scale SW1200 made by ConCor, which is very close to the SW9 (disclaimer: rivet counters and prototype modelers will recognize that they are close but not identical). You can see them at the following link. Switcher is on sale for $30.

Hope thathelps,
Ed
