Don't take my word for it, but I think the Digitrax 163A would work as it has a built on plug for the newer Athearn units.
Go to www.digitrax.com and look at the chart. [;)]

I just bought one of these today and I am pretty impressed with the detail and it runs very well. This is the first time I have bought an Athearn RTR loco and I was wondering what type of digitrax decoder do I need to buy for it?
