I'd love to list a specific thread that I found most useful. Unfortunately the topics that I found most useful were the ones concerning DCC and they are spread out all over the place. By reading them I've learned the pros and cons of several systems, the differences of the various "levels" of systems, how to determine number of boosters and learned that several shops (Tony's and Loy's come to mind) are top notch such that they will get my DCC business when I make the leap even if they don't have the best price.

There was a great thread started by AntonioFP45 about the interior colors of passenger cars that I found to be very helpful. Antonio is the absolute master at keeping threads alive and on the front pages of the forum.

I'll go with Aggro's thread on making pine trees out of furnace filter material. Especially since I have to populate the Tahoe National Forest for my Yuba River Sub. I've got all manner of foilage so far, but those big pines are DEFINITELY going to improve things once I start the high mountain scenery.

I'm going to use the photos as a guide for installing "See Thru Grills" on a pair of my Athearn U-Boats that I'm upgrading for DCC/Sound.

well frankly i've found most of the posted topics to be good in a way especially the ones about dcc Being away from the hobby for awhile i need a brush up on a few thing. The polls i find interesting too it gives people an insight to the others here as likes and dislikes.

What threads posted on this forum in the last year or so, best exemplify what is good about this forum? The thread should be a model railroading topic. Please leave out polls and topics unrelated to model railroading!

Although I feel there were many great topics, I think Aggrojone's topic entitled "You Asked For It' Topic I.D. 26674 and about building pine trees for his model railroad, to be a great example of the best from this FORUM.

With the amount of topics generated here every day, it would be easy for really good topics to have slipped by, without our seeing it! So, let have at it!!

Be specific enough that we can all go to the topic your talking about! So this means, you need a link or descriptive enough title to run a search for it!
