They will negotiate 22" curves but the overhang will be extreme. There is a good possibilty that they will hit anything else on an adjacent track. Mine perform okay on 30"-plus curves with 2.5" spacing. Keep in mind that these cars in HO scale are over 13" long.All you can do is try one and see how it does.Good luck.

Will an 89' Autorack car like the new ones that Walthers has just came out with, work on 22" radius curves, or do they need something bigger? I would like to add some of these cars to my fleet, but I only have 22" curves. Anyone with any help would be great! Thanks
