Thanks everyone for the info. I'll be looking for Con-cor units at the next train show in my area. (My Penn Central crew thanks you all, too!)

Yes; the SD24 or SD35 parts should work fine.

Though not really made by ROCO these Con-Cor units are identical to the Atlas-ROCO SD-35. Con-cor is shutting down in a couple of years so you might want to check their parts inventory quickly to see if they have the part.

Atlas still lists the parts pages for these units on their web-site and may also have some of the parts in stock.

Atlas/Roco SD-35

I have an old Atlas (made by Roco) SD-35 that has a broken truck side frame. [:(] This piece will not stay on the powered truck...thus my loco is inoperable. The wheels fall off the truck. This sideframe holds the axles is contact with the gears on the motor. Does anyone know if the SD-35's made by Roco for Con-Cor will work as a substitute for my engine? What years of manufacture do I have to look for?
Can I use the body shell from mine on any other loco frame? Thanks for any suggestions!
