I keep reading about Spandex thread for wires on my telegraph poles. Any Idea who makes the thread and where its available. I checked the web sites for Jo Ann Fabrics and Hancock no Spandex thread listed.

See if they sell Lycra. That's the DuPont name for spandex thread.

Do a web search for Berkshire Junction, from Adams, MA. They supply this product, called E-Z Line, in 100' reels, along with other nice model railroad specialty products. It is excellent for representing telephone or telegraph wires and will stand up to just about any abuse. I have it on my layout.
