Maxman, I'm not really sure what I'm viewing here. Are these battery powered trains? Popular in Europe? Fun to just crash them?

Not sure. At first I thought they were some sort of live steam, but I think they are electric trains made by MTH.
Probably just Charles Addams playing with his set of trains while Thing is occupied with the Lionel stuff.
