Weekend Photo Fun September 20-22 2024
Posted by Mister Mikado on Saturday, September 21, 2024 4:16 PM

greetings to all of you--i see no one has begun a wpf for this weekend so i took the liberty.

much thanks to rich (richhotrain) for sending me to the kind folks at BLI parts.  they shipped me a set of lift rings to replace the ones i broke off after restoring my prr proto e8 back to original.  i had to drill out the holes since the old stems were still embedded.  then i installed the new ones and painted them to match.  not a perfect job but quite acceptable to my eyes.

the black you see in spots is what's left of my (acrylic) paint job.  it kind of looks like oily grime so i'm leaving it--an accidental weathering job.  enjoy your weekend, rob.

Rob, that looks fantastic!

Great job.

So glad that you got those lift rings.

Holy Cow, made it thru the time-outs.  Rob, thanks for opening the WPF, your E unit looks good.

Thanks to all the contributors and viewers.  Have a good one.  Regards, Peter
