Nowadays WPF is small in content, but big on sharing some interesting modeling.

Ed, Thosel Es and the GP-9? sure look good, and chock-full-o eye catchings details, so too the surrounding structures, scenery, track and ballast.

Simon, Diggin' your scene, a train dwarfed by striking scenery is extra appealing.

Thanks to all the contributors and viewers.  Have a good week. Regards, Peter

Peter, Ed, what courage you have to modify/paint diesel engines. And with such great results...

I pretty much finished this scene  last week.

Thanks for setting up the latest WPF, Peter! Locomotive mods can be fun, rewarding and at the same time frustrating to be sure.

Here's how the pair of NYC E8 repaints turned out for me:

I added the additional grab irons and 'toe board' needed for the windshield access, Plano intake grills, proper air horns, antenna and MU hoses and receptacle:

Other than the Scalecoat paint 'mishap' everything went pretty well. I pulled the bottom pins of the nose door grab irons and held them out of the way with toothpick shims in order to apply the nose herald.

Plenty of weekend left! Let's see more photos!

Cheers, Ed

Summer is waning, and so is WPF, yet still hoping to see lots-o Modelrailroading pics.

Not sure which is moving slower, my Baldwin AS-16 make-over project or the forum.  Assembling and installing a KV-Models drop-step/MU stanchion kit is more than a fair challenge, but in fairness would've been easier with the deck separated from the body (shot myself in the foot long ago by accidentally gluing the two together).  Now for more handrail fabrication.

Have a good weekend.  Regards, Peter
