Gosh! Four Weekend Photo Fun on the page. Well, here's number five, and hoping to see lots-o Model Railroading pics.
Have a good Labor Day weekend. Regards, Peter
Thanks for that warm and sunny photo, Peter, although it must be a little chilly with the switchman in a heavy jacket!
A while back I posted some photos of a pair of Es I'm repainting and lettering for the later New York Central grey scheme. When I opened my only bottle of NYC dark gray Scalecoat 2 I found that it had become rather thick, like molasses. Yikes. To add to the complications I'm out of Scalecoat thinner, too! The only enamel thinner I have on hand is Xylene and I had to use quite a bit and the end result was a little crazing on the bare plastic (in hindsight I should have shot them with some Tamiya Fine primer first )

Overall they're not too bad. I gave them a coat of Alclad clear gloss and that helped. I allowed a good ten days or so for the enamel to cure.

Nice photos, even if limited. I know I was busy this weekend, no time for the train room!
Another convincing close up on the action, Peter.
Good save in the E-8s, Ed!
Simon, all the elements sure add up to a great scene.
I hope next week i'll have something to show too. Dan
Ed, The paint looks good from my end, gonna' make for some fine models.
Simon, Like the club shot and the Pizza food truck.
Dan, Thanks for stoppin' in, hoping to see some of your pics soon.
I always appreciate the kind words.
Thanks to all the viewers. Have a good week ahead. Regards, Peter
