This is the weekend thread where modelers can show their completed models, work under construction and layout pictures new and old.
Let's have a lot of participation this weekend!
Rick Jesionowski
Rule 1: This is my railroad.
Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
Good morning from cloudy, warm and humid Northeast Ohio!
Got a little modeling done this week, only a couple of those complete but a lot of work on incomplete models.
Athearn 40' Trailer, removed the PFE details from the trailer to make it look more like a standard trailer, painted with Scalecoat II Silver paint and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. I wanted more lease trailers to intersperse with all the railroad owned trailers I have.
Next a Kadee 40' PS1 Boxcar kit painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and Silver paints and lettered with Herald King Decals. General Service Boxcar on the Southern Railway.
I have been working on a modified 1937 AAR boxcar kit that was modified by the GM&O for use in Appliance Service, added a new side sill and reinforcing around a new 9' door, still needs to be painted and decaled.
A pair of Athearn SD38's with an autoparts train showing off some new Tangent 60' Greenvilles along with some old standbys.
Have a great weekend!
Rick, thanks for starting another weekend of photos. I didn't see your post, so I started another thread. I'm going to try to delete that thread.
Having lived in Louisiana, I really like seeing the Southern RR boxcar. Nice work.
For quite a while, I have been working on this building. I saw a model I liked, but I didn't like the price. I decided to build something similar. I was glad I found Plastruct makes N scale brick styrene. The small windows are Tichy, and the larger windows and doors I made. The doors took a long time to get them inset. Also, on the other side of the building is a cafe that I have done the interior. It's not done yet, so when that is finished, I can get some photos of that. I hope we can get some good photos this weekend.

John, Liking your project and choice of colors.

Peter, you've posted another amazing scene. I'm not sure when I see your photos if it's actually a model railroad or a real-life photo!
