I use Flickr.  All I do to post a photo is...

  1. Find my photo in Camera Roll
  2. Double-click the photo to enlarge it
  3. Right-click the photo and select "Copy Image Link"
  4. Copy & paste the URL into my post using the Insert/Edit image icon
  5. Press OK then click the Submit button

And I get no extraneous Flickr "identification" along the bottom side of the photo...

FWIW,

Tom

Ed.   I used to do that, but the arrow no longer appears.

The only way I could then post was  pretend to buy the picture then transfer to post on Forum.

That avenue has now ceased.  Therefore unable to post pictures.

I've been using Flickr for eleven years now. Never had much of a problem as I recall. I've got over 45,000 photos there.

If your screen looks like this when you have a photo selected you can find the 'share' arrow in the lower right:

 MR_Photo1 by Edmund, on Flickr

When you click that arrow another menu pops up with several choices.

You want to highlight the BBCode menu option and COPY the highlighted text.

The link you copy will look like this when you paste it directly into your text stream (don't use the 'insert photo' icon at the MR forum) but when you submit the post the link will become active and your photo will appear.

I don't know how you have been posting your recent photos, David, as they are not properly formatted. Try the above method and see if you have better luck.

Regards, Ed

Good morning

Hi David, I'm not familiar with Flickr, but they've changed the format on how to upload photos on Imgur many times through the yearsAngry...Bang Head

It seems like it took longer to finally figure out how to post again each time.  If this Dinosaur can figure it out, I'm confident you'll figure it out as well.

Maybe Google some questions about it.  Usually others have had the same difficulties and you'll find a chat forum that explains thingsSmile

Thanks for all the great contributions so far this weekend.  Certainly some fine looking projects hereYes

TF  Thanks for starting WPF

Excellent modelling by all.

Posting pictures by Flickr has become so difficult.  They seem to block each path I take.

If I'm ever here long enough, to finally understand some of the things you do that I've never tried, it'll be a miracle Huh?...Smile

I've never known anyone else that has bicycle riders on their layout, but looking at everything else you do peter, your work never ceases to amaze meBow

John, being a licensed builder for over 30 years, your strip mall looks to be built perfectly plumb and horizontally correct.  Even the centered signage shows craftsmanship aligned at best.  Can hardly wait to see the building you've been working on now.

Do you model modern BNSF where you live?

Great to see WPF up-n-running! Thanks, TF!

Good looking 'Pink Work' there, too! Those kinds of malls or shopping centers were all the rage across the country in the '50s through '80s, John. Great idea to represent one on your layout.

Big wheels, rollin' Peter! That Smirnoff ad is making me thirsty Drinks

Over the years I've gathered a few Intermountain F units mostly by picking them up when they were 'close outs' at online retailers or from local train shows. I had a single Penn Central F7 but two B&O F7Bs.

So the thought occurred to me to strip one of the B&O B units to pair it up with the PC 1702 here.

I added a few details to the A unit, a Sinclair antenna and windshield wipers. It really should have grab irons leading up to the windshield but that might be a future project.

Scalecoat black goes on like glass smooth lacquer and is a perfect base for decals.

A Scale Aound speaker and Loksound decoder sweeten up the operation and sound characteristics.

The tape is over the grille for when I give them the Dullcoat treatment. Light weathering will come next.

TF, Thanks for rolling out the WPF.  New or old, 'a picture is worth a thousand words.'

John, Like how you modeled a nice slice of Americana with a strip-mall.

Last week an 18 wheel 'Duel', this time it's two-wheel duelin'.  Allez, Allez, Le Tour starts tomorrow!

Thanks to all the contributors and viewers.  Have a good weekend and Happy 4th.  Regards, Peter

TF, thanks for starting this weekend's photo fun.  I am amazed at the complexity of your layout.  I will love seeing some videos in the future when you have some trains running on all those bridges.

I once saw an ad for a model strip mall.  I thought about buying it, but then decided to scratchbuild one instead.  It actually wasn't too hard, and it helped me gain some skills to get better at building.

I've only old photos and nothing new to offer.  Perhaps some old pink, before tweaks.

Thanks for looking

Looking forward to some great photos this weekendYes

Welcome to Weekend Photo Fun!

This is the thread to share pictures of your layout, past or present.  Anything modeled thereof, or anything related to model railroading, is all good here.

As always, thanks for your participation in advance.
