HO-VeloEd, Tangent sure makes some nice models. Btw, like the paint chipping on PC 4090
Thanks, Peter. Some folks don't care much for 'weathering' but sadly, this is exactly the way I remember seeing some — but not all — of the ageing P-C passenger fleet in the '70s. Here's a better look:

Some engines didn't even rate a full repaint but just a peel-n-stick door emblem:
Cheers, Ed
David, Heartwarming to see lifelong memories being made on grandpa's layout.
TF, Like your elevator and how you rolled the dough.
John, Always like seeing your radio tower, reminds me of Mel's tower, if memory serves I recall him having a workman on his.
Ed, Tangent sure makes some nice models. Btw, like the paint chipping on PC 4090
Rick, Good to see more well crafted models rolling off your workbench.
Simon, Fun watching you skillfully bring your scenes to life.
Thanks to all the patient contributors and viewers. Also appreciate the nice comments. Have a good week. Regards, Peter
Hello all,
Peter: Nice shot! It's nice that you are enjoying your layout from an operation's perspective.
David: How lucky you are that you can share your hobby with your grand-daugthter. My sons have no interest in the hobby, even when at her age.
TF: Thanks for posting your pics of the elevator in its various construction stages. Is it standing on a layout somewhere?
John: That is quite the tower!
Ed: Lovely tank car. Will you do some weathering?
Rick: No WPF would be complete without pics of your latest cars! Great decal work, as always.
Here is an HOn3 branchline train running close to the mainline. I am still working on the details of the narrow gauge passenger cars, but I think they are good enough to show here.

Enjoy your weekend.

Was finally able to get in, nice pictures everybody keep up the good work!
Finished a couple of cars this week for a change! First, an Atlas USRA Rebuild Kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red paint and lettered with a mixture of Smokebox Graphics and Champ Decals. The Ann Arbor received these 1940 Wabash rebuilds in 1953 and used them in general service until their transfer to the DT&I after the Wabash/NKP/N&W merger. Next an Athearn PC&F 50' RBL kit, painted with Scalecoat II Tuscan Red paint and lettered with Herald King Decals. Car was in canned goods service delivering California produce to the rest of the nation. A pair of Cotton Belt and SP SD45's with a general freight train, running on the Strongsville Club Layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
Rule 1: This is my railroad.
Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
I've been trying to make a reply all day and keep getting a 'Forbidden 504' or something like that.
Thanks for starting off the Weekend Photo Fun thread, Peter!

A new arrival. Made by Tangent and marketed by the Penn Central Historical Society.
TF & John/York thaks for your kind comments.
Younger granddaughter loves to work Leeds Sovereign Street controls.
Really she is a 1-1 train nut. She has been on the footlate of a Class 5 (Black 5) LMS locomotive and in the cab of a Class 55 diesel locomotive.
My older granddaughter has a 0 gauge American themed layout in their garden.
Both have been in the cockpit of a RAF Tornado jet aeroplane. Will they follow their great grandmother's footsteps (as she ferried aircraft to bases in WW2)?
David
To the world you are someone. To someone you are the world
I cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought
Peter, thanks for opening another WPF. I know I've said it often to you, but you have a real skill of making your layout and photos some of the most realistic-looking I've ever seen. I have to look twice to see if it's actually a real railroad scene or a model!
David, thanks for encouraging another generation of modelers. Your layout is loaded with interesting scenes.
My photo is from the old layout. It was my first attempt at a layout after watching the Model Railroader series on the Salt Lake Route:

Thanks for hosting WPF Peter. Great photo, with that captured realism you model. Have quite a few Milwaukee Road box cars over here as well
She looks like a sweetie David, you are blessed. Ive always enjoyed seeing your layout pics. I'll bet my last bottom dollar, she will have a layout when she gets older, from all the quality time Grandpa spends with her
Some have said, there's not enough participation on the Forum. One needs to take advantage of when the site is working here. Also, with the request for lots of photos this weekend, I'll do my best to contribute. Hope the old ones still count.
Thanks for looking, and I'm looking forward to lots of participation this weekend as well
TF
Peter. Thanks for starting this weeks WPF.
Yes; like a reporter always have camera handy. Love it.
Last train of the day before granddaughter went home.
Hoping to see lots-o Model Railroading photos.
Sometimes it's extra fun to have the camera handy when operating.
