Last February I ordered online an N-Scale 12-axle depressed center flatcar from a vendor in the UK and paid via PayPal.
The vendor never acknowleged the order, nor did they respond to any of my emails. I finally filed a claim with PayPal.
Fortunately, two days ago PayPal informed me they were refunding my money. That's okay, but I'd rather have the model.
The only alternative I've found is a more expensive 3D-printed car, and I have to supply the trucks.
I don't know if it's proper to name the vendor, but there's probably enough information here for those interested to figure it out.

How can people be warned if they don't know who it is?

Bruce,
Is this the only vendor offering the said 12-axle depressed-center flat car?

I think you would be doing the forum group a favor by putting their name out there. Others would at least be alerted about possible issues if they are thinking about ordering from them.
Wonder if it's nscalekits.co.uk - which seems to indicate, thought, that the kits are pewter and come without trucks. Doesn't quite fit Bruce's parameters, but was the only thing that I could find online without digging through the weeds.
I note security flags from my browser when I click on their site. Caveat emptor.

Yes, it was nscalekits.co.uk. Perhaps I misunderstood about the specifics of the kit, and I was unsure if the Forum rules allowed me to name the vendor.

I was unsure if the Forum rules permitts naming the vendor. It was nscalekits.co.uk.

I have since found a 3D-printed model for $50 compared to the roughly $38 with shipping for the nscalekits model.

Now that I've established that naming the vendor is allowed, it's nscalekits.co.uk.
