Digitrax Throttle Knobs
Posted by Tophias on Thursday, February 22, 2024 10:53 AM

I recently purchased a Digitrax UT6D throttle and very much like the larger knob to that which is found on my older DT402D's. I contacted Digitrax to see if they could supply me with some to outfit my older DT402D's but they replied they don't sell parts. Have any of you swapped out knobs? Any suggestions where to find them or similar? I've searched on line a little but can't find these exact knobs or anything similar. I'm would think they're out there, but I'm missing them? Any suggestions are most welcomed. Thanks all.

Amazon has plenty of 1/4" shaft audio knobs to choose from:

The encoders on the DT402 can take a press-on knob with the flat but a set screw type could work, too. I actually went with a smaller knob on my UT5 throttles and I find the large knobs on the DT602 to be a bit too large. They're easily bumped from any side interference.

I do have a few push-on knobs (the blue ones shown) I can send you but they really areant 'too' much larger than the OEMs.

Thanks Ed, I saw those but I guess I was looking for the exact knob. I suppose I'll just measure the diameter and height of the UT6 knob and the shaft diameter of the Dt402 and try to find something that has these dimensions.  If anyone else has any suggestion please feel free to respond. Thanks.

It is a 1/4" (6mm) D-type shaft.

I just measured my 402 and it measured 6.6mm.  Close enough?  Plus I check out Amazon and found a few aluminum ones. Interestingly I didn't see any plastic ones.
