That works. I've got a lost pair under the back seat of the Truck.  Chad told me they made me look like a Rock Star. But I'm not.

But we had a really good Philly Beef cheese steak at the Shanty, French Dip style, with plenty of green peppers, onions and mushrooms ...Mighty TastyDinner

And you always go back there, cuz the beef is so tender, nothing sticks in-between your teethYes

Paul's didn't open up untill 4:00, and my Judy was much hungrier way before than.

So we ate big and went home!

Hmm.  Perhaps I should protect myself by at least patenting HO and N scale contact lenses . . .

Of course, in my peaceful model town of Mooseport, everyone has perfect vision and no one needs glasses.

Mr. B,

Mooseport, Shmooseport.

Now I'm finally gonna get rich!  I'm gonna go into HO and N scale eyeglasses so my buddies can proportionately outfit the folks that people their layouts.  Two lines: one with just frames; but for those who are prototype sticklers, a spendy line with lenses included.  I may get to a bifocal later on.  Laugh

Maybe they'll be picked up by Hatton's/Klein's/MTS (or whatever they're calling themselves today).

We had snow last night!  Wow, it was maybe a half an inch, but we have had zero snow the last two years, so it was good to see.  It's all melted off now, so no brushing snow off the cars.

Guys, don't fret getting bifocals.  I no longer have to carry one pair of glasses for near and one for far.  I also avoided them for a long time, but once I tried them I was sold.  And, because I no longer have to switch glasses between tasks, I just keep the bifocals on so I never put them down and lose rthem.

Of course, in my peaceful model town of Mooseport, everyone has perfect vision and no one needs glasses.

Does your controller have a way to gradually increase or decrease the speed at the stopping points? I'll have to dig my controller out to see if mine can vary the speed.

Dave, no it doesn't.  The voltage from the buck converter is set for a certain voltage, and when the streetcar reaches that endpoint, the power goes off.

Since this is DC, I'm not good enough at this to figure out how to slow down the car at the stop.

I may try to experiment with some arduino stuff sometime to see if I can do something like that.

Right now, I'm just happy it works!

I finally got the streetcar to run, stop at the end points, reverse, and run again.

Hi John,

The streetcar looks good!

Does your controller have a way to gradually increase or decrease the speed at the stopping points? I'll have to dig my controller out to see if mine can vary the speed.

Cheers!!

Good morning, diners.  Bacon, eggs, and coffee, please.

Water Level Route
Busy morning, but it sure beats being at work!

Mike, that is exactly how I've felt the past six years.  The best parts for me -- no evening meetings!  No evening phone calls!  Weekends that are mine to do what I want!

Our weather forecast is improving!  Instead of the predicted minus 26°F tonight, it's been changed to only minus 19°F.  Spring is right around the corner!

I finally got the streetcar to run, stop at the end points, reverse, and run again.  Next is to work on adding streets.  This is a boring video of the streetcar running.  Hope the video works here.

Hope everyone has a great Friday.

Good morning

They still have reading glasses at the dollar store John.  But It costs me two bucks for a pair though.  My right eye is weaker than the left.  So I'll buy two different magnifications and swap out the lensesHuh?

By the way, The Dollar Store charges a $1.25 now?  They ain't living up to their name anymore.  I've heard of nickel and diming the customer before, but a quarter now? Laugh

PS   Some how, all that does sound better than wxxk MikeLaugh  I'm taking the day off!

Good Morning Diners.  Flo, a coffee to go please.

Have to be to the chiropractor in a few minutes, then get one of the dogs to the vet for a follow up appointment for an ear infection, then get the truck in for a new windshield.  Busy morning, but it sure beats being at work!

Gidday Chloe, a cold one, please!

Like you York1John, I only need glasses for fine close-up work, so because I’m taking them off and on, I have to be careful to keep track of where I put them down. Tool control is very important in aviation, you don’t want to have an aircraft leave a hanger with extra “stuff” left in it; could be very dangerous. I worked with a guy who was forever losing his specs, I’d often find them around the hanger and return them to him. I didn’t realise that he had 8 pairs in his tool box, so He wouldn’t run out! When I found out, I told him that he was allowed only one pair, with possibly a spare pair in his car, and, if I ever found them in an aeroplane returning to service, I’d read him the “Riot Act.”  Unfortunately, I did have too!! NOT Good!!!

Good Evening,

Brent, that is some snowfall!  The only year I lived on the coast was the year the Fraser froze and the 4' fence in our backyard in Coquitlam disappeared under the snow. That was Christmas 1964. I was in grade 12 at Coquitlam High.  Lucky me hoping for my first green Christmas. Dad's car spent 10 days in a parking lot as it couldn't make it up the hill after pickihg up my sister from the train at New Westminister.

I've been pushing my thumbs so hard doing trim.  They hurt and are dry and cracked.

At least it's almost done.  I'll start doing the herringbone tile tomorrow, and really start cracking my fingersLaugh

Judy tells me to put lotion on, but don't for some reasonIndifferent

It is still snowing. The guy on the TV said it is the second-largest single dump on record.

I have the fire on, the Canucks are playing at 1900hrs and I have an extra large poor of some Glen Levitt.

Went for a slog through the snow and the silence was magical in the forest.

I had this going through my head the whole time.

Winter Has Come.

Hey, I'm sitting here looking at six of 'em that I got two years ago at Costco (must be like Brent's).  3 are +1.25, 3 are +2.00.  Included are a couple of sleeves that you can quickly lose, too!  They've been laying around virtually unused.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm way past those powers.  I now use at a minimum 2.5, and if I'm going to use them for some small work, I'll use 3.0.

I'm not sure if they make anything beyond that, but I will just quit reading when those no longer are strong enough!

Sigh

Now, the last time I looked at the store, they no longer sell them.  Walmart has them for $5.00 each, which is way too high for me.  Maybe I can make the ones I have left last until I'm done.

If we can hook up address-wise I'll send them to you (post paid) at no charge.  I think my email address is in my profile.
