Good stuff so far, guys!

Winter is finally setting in,  getting me past summer RR block. It seriously is still very moderate here.

I picked up this Cary Pittsburg Boiler for a Tyco General 4-4-0 drive. I find the proportions toylike, the cab too far back and too tall...

I used a jewelers saw to laboriously remove the cab, to lower it, bring it forward, and remove about 9 scale inches from it's length. Mocked up with a Rivarossi "Bowker" tender which will probably be used, without that plastic wood load. Dan

Thanks for starting us out Rick.

A couple of recent arrivals to the layout, two Rapido D-10s.

Good morning from partly sunny and cold Northeast Ohio!

Managed to finish a couple of cars this week.

First up, a Kadee PS 2003CF Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II Black Paint and lettered with Tichy Decals.  This car is a standin for the Greenville clone of the PS car, not much difference. The NKP used these cars in Cement, Sand and Potash Service.

Next up another Greenville car, this time a Stewart kit for a NYC Hopper car, painted with Scalecoat II Black paint and lettered with Brian Banna's decals for this car. The NYC in the late fifties was replacing old 2 and 3 bay hopper cars with new construction to haul coal from mines in WV, IN and IL.

Some Athearn NKP GP9's with a general freight, running on the Strongsville Model Railroad Club layout.

Thanks for looking!

This is the weekend thread where modelers can show their completed models, work under construction and layout pictures new and old.

Let's have a lot of participation this weekend!
