Marklin HO trains can fit in places that many USA brands cannot due to some unique engineering to the Marklin HO system. Even the catenary can be set up so that one section is easilly removed just as the piece of track between modules is. The need for heavy modules and legs have kept me away from that form of show layout. But using T trak modules with Marklin HO is something I have been kicking around in my head as of lately. I have 4 modules in storage, might have to dig them out and see what I can do with them. Stay tuned!
That sounds like an interesting project you have in mind! Using T trak modules with Marklin HO trains can offer flexibility and potentially allow you to create a layout that suits your needs. The unique engineering of the Marklin HO system, including the ability to easily remove sections of catenary and track, can indeed provide advantages in terms of fitting into different spaces.
Hello All,
VintagesteamerMarklin HO trains can fit in places that many USA brands cannot due to some unique engineering to the Marklin HO system.
Can you elaborate on this?
Even using the Märklin catenary don't you still need to use the three (3) conductor track; rails positive, center nubs on the ties (sleepers) negative?
Are you using the Märklin MFX system?
If not, what control system are you using?
Your musings are intriguing, I'm just curious about the practical application of Märklin over other existing systems.
Hope this helps.
"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
