Show me another outside braced freight car, wood or steel.

-Kevin

I have a couple outside braced 50' boxcars, both from Accurail. Here's one.

A couple days ago I was in my LHS and on the new arrivals shelf, they had a couple offerings from Accurail. One was a C&O 50' outside braced boxcar and the other a 40' Boston and Albany gondola. I got them both for the roadname, not because I needed another of either type of car. I can throw an Accurail car together in 10 minutes adding KD 148 couplers and metal wheels. Another 5 minutes if I take time to weather it. I don't need or want fine detail on my rolling stock and even thought the price has gone up like everything else recently, they're still under $20.

Show me a gondola or flat car with a load.

Show another working in progress. Preferably one that is making better progress than mine.

I am not sure about "making better progress", but this one is ready for the paint booth.

Show me another project in progress.

-Kevin

It's debateable as to whether this scene could be considered a work in progress. There has been virtually no progress made on it for two years. Last year, the problem was paralysis by analysis. I was overthinking it. I really planned to get going again on it this winter but then some family business has taken most of my free time and there has been almost no progress on it again. Golf season is right around the corner and that usually means little time for model railroading.

Show another working in progress. Preferably one that is making better progress than mine.

My favorite is the SW7 in the photo below. I own two of them.

The Plymouth switcher is a recent addition and belongs to my brewery which has a small yard and several shipping and receiving tracks. Other than a few test runs, I haven't actually used it since the lead track to the brewery is being reconfigured.

More switchers, please.

More of the same.

Not a huge tank, 275 gallons, but the fuel oil tank on the left is certainly horizontal:
