Thanks for your reply. I have another problem or two. I don't know if the longer shank will matter because the space for the shank is pretty small not allowing for much side to side. Also the rear pilot is held on with a screw that is smack dab in the way of the coupler box. Grrr.

Hello All,

The #32 is a Medium Overset Shank.

If this is too short then the #39 Long Overset Shank should do the trick.

Hope this helps.

Kadee conversion for Heisler
Posted by Dunderhead on Thursday, January 19, 2023 3:00 PM

Greetings

I recently purchased a Rivarossi 2-truck Heisler. I want to put Kadee couplers on it. The Kadee conversion chart lists #32 for this locomotive, however when I initially put the coupler up in there it seems that the shank is too short. Can anyone who has done this conversion give me some pointers here? Thanks, and happy trails.
