Cool Bud Dome with the Fall leaves Ed. Judy and I got to ride in an Amtrak Dome car on the way to Chicago once.
This year's stuffed Jack-Ol'-Lanterns were yellow as they didn't have any orange ones.

At least if a plane fails you have a chance to switch into glide and look for a place to land. Helicopter breaks and the thing just falls out of the sky I sappose
Only time I rode in one was flown by a Korean or Vietnam Vet at Paul Bunyan Land when I was a little kid. That was one crazy pilot I'll tell ya! It was one heck of a fun scary ride but that was enough for me

They are from the bolt action game Kevin, very big into that game.
I flew in a helicopter once. It was a sightseeing trip in Hawaii. Absolutely magnificent out over an old volcano and the Pacific cliffs. The pilot pointed out where parts of Jurassic Park were filmed.
At an air show in Florida, they had a few helicopters and us civilians got to climb in. These were anti-submarine helicopters, so it was interesting to see stuff for sub hunting on board.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Had to take two of our grandchildren to a Halloween Party. The scary outfits were great.
Back to make dinner.
TF Dinner is served. I've saved as much as you like. As for dessert, Yoghurt Surprise has been requested. (There is a Halloween Twist to it.)
Helicopters. Never been in one. Would like to. My daughter, Julia has been in one when she was in Brooklyn, New York on charity work. She loved it.
As for charity work, she should have gone to India, but because of warring factions there at the time she went to Tanzania to help build a school for children. Throughout all her work she has kept in touch with the families and children she has helped. We are so proud of her.

Good Afternoon,
I have been in a helicopter once and that was in 2019. We went on a half hour ride to view Victoria Falls. It was a fairly large one, a Bell Jet Ranger I think. Got sone great views of the falls.
Italy sounds interesting. Have been there once, in 1988. We took a train from Menton which is in France just a few miles from the Italian border. After an hour or so the train stopped in clearing between tunnels. We sat for a couple of hours with no info from the train crew. It was on a curve and I could see they coupled in a new loco. The train started with no warning. We got to Pisa where our car was supposed to be attached to the train to Florence. Some railway works were looking at our car and a passenger started talking to them and was told the car was going straight to Rome for repairs. All passengers got off with luggage being passed out windows. In less than 5 minutes the train left for Rome. We did make it to Florence. We took a train from there to Venice. It seems in Italy departure times are merely a suggestion.
Time to toss peanuts to the Blue Jays.

Here is a picture of a helicopter my son did some of the programming for, it was the first fly by wire helicopter. This was a test flight and the pilots exceeded the the maximum air speed specified by the manufacturer. No fault in the electrical systems embedded programming.

A wonderful Fall afternoon to everyone (except that guy down under. To him a fine Spring day!)
I enjoyed the Helicopter stuff earlier! Last Spring in connection with something called "One Great Hour of Sharing" at my church. I bid on a Helicopter Ride (donated by a member who owns and operates a helicopter business). The year before, I got out bid at the last second. The value of the half hour ride for 2 people is $250. This time the bid was standing at $215, so I upped it to $230 but waited until there was only 8 seconds let to hit send.... Heh, heh.... This time I won it.
Ever since that, I have been trying to get the ride scheduled. A lady I am friends with will share the ride. She is my age and physically handicapped. Has to walk using a walker or a 4 footted cane. Was told, not a problem! They have gotten people using wheelchairs into the copter many times. So we set a date for it. 2 days before that time, I get an email from the owner. Can't do it as a student pilot (He is an instructor) crashed the copter on his first solo run! Two months later he says we are good to go! Make a date... Drive all the way to the ladies house the other side of Rochester, NY. Pull into her driveway, and get a text! He had a flight earlier that day and something went wrong with some system on the copter. Had to cancel! I checked with him a few days later and he found the problem, but has to order a whole new system to be safe to fly. Has no idea when it up and safe to fly again!!!! (sigh!)
Oh well, so much for "Fall Foliage" run.

David, I got my flu shot last week. Normally I don't even feel the flu shot, but this year, for some reason, my arm actually hurt more than the second covid booster I got earlier this year. Maybe I'm getting old?
Bear, I've never ridden in a helicopter. It's something I always thought I would enjoy, but the opportunity never came up. There are helicopter rides at some of the national parks, but I've never wanted to pay for the expensive ride.
