Excellent video, as usual. I learned how to adjust a diecast flywell, among other things. I applaud your efforts to work with the original mechanisms. For mine, I used a Bachmann 44 tonnner mechanism to replace the original. Way more quiet and much faster. But there is something to say about a model that works with its stock mechanism, especially when it comes to MDC! Noisy, but original.

i have the same boxcab [without the track cleaning] and find it's quite a bit quieter than yours is .. the interior mecanism is identical ...
That Boxcab track cleaner, Boxcab with out track cleaning mechanism and the Climax were fun builds in the past. So my answer is two hours, seventeen minutes and forty seconds.
Hi Darth,
Another interesting build! Thankyou.
I'm not sure if I could stand the noise from the original drivetrain for very long. Your suggestion of converting it to a belt drive is very good.
Cheers!!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Like magic!
Rumor has it there's no way to reply to this thread? So I'll try and maybe it will make the reply button reappear?
Good Luck, Ed
